What do independent, sophisticated but emotional women want in their wardrobe? Wolfgang Joop definitly knows it! WUNDERKIND celebrates a sense of freedome, which defies sartorial conventioans and an unique view on modern elegance.
Besides the sweet women’s wear you can also buy WUNDERKIND eyewear and men’s wear.
Fancy that! I’m lost for words by Cobra Snake’s new collection of apparel.
The style of the collection with bold prints and patterns goes perfectly with the personality of this crazy, funny guy.
Coincided with the Paris Fashion Week, the capsule was presented at Yard Sale last weekend. I love the The Cobra Snake x RVCA 2010 Spring/Summer Collection, this guy, the stickers and prints are makin me smile!
Last weekend the legendary artist and brand Eric HAZE presented a special exhibition at the new Known Gallery in Los Angeles. The full scale exhibit featured more than forty pieces including all of the original artwork used in inspiring the collection, video installations, plus other work from HAZE’s archives commissioned by Stussy throughout their longtime creative relationship.
The exhibition also features an 8’x 6’ hand-painted mural, video piece and product display.

Stussy is one of my favorite clothing brand and. I love it’s collaborations with other brands and artists. Stüssy x Dr. Martens, Stussy x J Dilla Documentary or the Stussy x CLS Leather iPhone Case, to name some of the best stussy collaborations.
One thing of the HAZE x Stussy collection is the Livin Large Varsity Jacket. Since spring 2008 I’m in love with college jackets, and my eyes still I can’t get enough. The jacket is available in royal blue/yellow or black/grey.
Blood is the New Black, based in L.A is still creating a bevy of new tees, exemplifying the “wearable art”.
Designed by different artists, Brian Lichtenberg, Bryan Ray Turcotte, Keaton Henson, Keren Richter and Scott Barry and more.
I love the whole range of artwork by illustrators, designers and photographers.
I’m a fan of simple and clean styles. I also like to shop in secondhand stores. But with the vintage hype the sense of vintage is gone. For me, second hand fashion should be favorable. In Berlin, for example, the vintage fashion is more expensive as new clothes.
To my delight Carhartt presents it’s SS 10 “Heritage” collection.
The collection is tribute to the Carhartt roots by picking up the best designs and materials of the early beginnings of Carhartt in the new heritage collection.
All pieces come with some nice heritage inspired graphic and the pants are all based on vintage cuts.
Great way to get that classic look without having to shop those second hand stores.
Bant is a monthly music, cinema and art magazine based in Istanbul/Turkey. The mag has been published for over 4 years and the 50th issue is about OBEY.
For the past 4 years, Bant has been a platform for sharing and discovering local and international talents, as well as including and interviewing recognized names.
On the backside of a OBEY poster (out of the mag) I found interviews with the American artist Shepard Fairey, Ruth Fisher and others. Names that actually never had a chance to be inclued into the magazine, so far. I’m thankful to have this poster in addition to the magazine, because it’s written in english.
The magazine is completely in turkish, but unfortunately, the pictures and illustartion are inspiring me.
Shepard Fairey, and called it a phenomenological study of the subtle effect of advertising mechanisms in the urban metropolitan area.
The result was the first and most famous internationally Street Art series, whose reputation has been caused only by Banksy so far.
The OBEY artwork attempts to stimulate curiosity and bring people to question both the art and their relationship with their surroundings.
Because people are not used to seeing advertisements or propaganda for which the product or motive is not obvious, frequent and novel encounters with the sticker, posters and streetart provoke thought and possible frustration, nevertheless revitalizing the viewer’s perception and attention to detail.
Now I need a OBEY shirt…but which one?! This are my favorites.
I’m in love with The Music Tee! A new brand which combines digital music and fashion in one eye-and-ear-catching package. My favorites are the Ecstatic by Mos Def, the She Wants Revenge and the Plastiscines Music Tee. What’s yours?
Music Tees are high-end (100% cotton) t-shirts that feature album art and a tracklist. Each shirt comes with a unique code that can be used to download the album associated with that Music Tee. Awesome! Isn’t it?
We’ve got nowhere to go, we’ve got nothing to prove
Instead of dancing alone, I should be dancing with you
This song is turning me on, the beat is doing me in
Or maybe it’s only you, but either way, lets begin…
The lights that move sideways and up and down
The beat takes you over and spins you round
Our hearts steady-beating, the sweat turns to cold
We’re slaves to the DJ and out of control
I watched her feet move, her hips they sway
Does a hair flip then starts to say
Oh, my God, it’s my favorite song
I pull her close and she sings along
We can’t slow down even if we tried
If the record keeps spinning so will I
She likes disco and tastes like a tear
Tells me don’t stop dancing and she’s pulling me near
The rockstar magazine presents some fashiontrends of the current season. And I think they are right. We girls are loving the Dico Copenhagen shoes!!!

He was one of the best, and now he is a legend! It was a tragic message to hear of the death of McQueen. He was found at his home in London. Fashion designer Alexander McQueen has taken his own life at age 40.
He was a great designer, check out his TAG on my cloud.
McQueen was born in the East End of London on March 17, 1969. His father was a taxi driver and as a child he made dresses for his three sisters. As a teenager he apprenticed on Savile Row–where he made suits for Prince Charles and Mikhail Gorbachev –before attending Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. It was his graduation collection that caught the eye of influential stylist Isabella Blow. The two became fast and dear friends until Blow committed suicide on May 7, 2007. McQueen dedicated his spring 2008 collection to her.
McQueen was named England’s designer of the year four times between 1996 and 2003.
Of course, I’m a fan of photography, especially in the field of fashion. What I see in the Spring / Summer Lookbook of the label Band of Outsiders surpasses everything!
The mood and the colors with an iconic Polaroid-aesthetic are hitting my taste to the fullest!! It’s brilliant how much influence the photography takes on the presentation of collections!
The lookbook is showing the versatility and timeless nature of Band of Outsider’s signature aesthetic. A list of retailers of the leading American label can be seen at Band.BandofOutsiders.com.
Grenoble, a city in the south of france is the historical capital of the glove making industrie.
Since 2009 I saw more and more of gloves with an artistic approach. I’m not in love with gloves…because withem I can’t touch my iPhone ;)…but I liked how they look like! So…I asked google.
FST Handwear gloves are made from french materials of high quality. They used to be a new urban accessory infused with the boarding and street culture.
For now the FST gloves are available in Europe, mainly in France.
With its roots in the love of reggae music, Skank has one foot in Jamaica and the other in the ever-expanding streetwear market.
Skank’s creations are designed by Tomas Björkén and friends. They began selling the brand in the Spring of 2003, in their own boutique in the centre of Stockholm, Sweden.
I took a look at the fall/winter collection 2010. For my share the skank clothes are a bit to colorfull but I like the boxers!
At the carhartt booth last weekend, I put on a 3D glasses which took me on a visual journey to another world, where I met about 20 characters from the carhartt skate team. ;)
After more than three years of hard work it is finally done and I saw the result of the book called SKATEBOARDING.3D. It is available in stores worldwide.
SKATEBOARDING.3D shows the entire series of photographs that Sebastian Denz took with members of the carhartt skateboard team.
Besides the carhartt artwork I took a look on the autumn/ winter collection of carhartt. I like the cuts of the girls shirts with the sleeves turned inside out.
I’m at the Bright Tradeshow in Frankfurt right now. Checking the new collections of some brands, had have a nice party tonight and I’ll tell you more about the tradeshow tomorrow.
Today I’m looking forward to the Bright Tradeshow on this weekend. I’ll be there to check out all the exhibitors of different Streetwear labels. There also will be some artists and lot’s of medias. I’ll write an article for the kinki magazine with photographies of Alexandre Kurek.
I’m excited about some brands I don’t know yet. For example “les ettes“. Les ettes produces high quality non-alcoholic perfumes designed for girls passionate about boardsports.
There will be labels I already blogged about, e.g. RVCA, Armedangels,
WeSC or AVEAL. More to come during the weekend!
It’s great to see how work wear brings trends to life. Thinking back, the first carhartt trousers I saw…they were out of a brown, inflexible cloth. Carhartt was originally founded to make work clothing for railroad workers.
Today Carhartt is commonly found on construction sites, farms and ranches, among other job sites.
Since 2007 we girls are amused that the company launched a Carhartt for Women line.
The carhartt Streetwear is marketed as a more fashionable brand comparable to Stussy or Volcom. Since a long time Carhartt supports affinity groups such as artists, musicians and skateboarders.

But Carhartt is just one, great example of brands, which have it’s roots in workwear. Look at this boots. These Viberg boots bring workwear trends to life, with authenticity no one can match. You could get them here.
I weep ’cause I like the way tears fit my cheek. Oh, how i love the way tears soothe my face. I like it soft, I like it wet, I like my make up in a mess. So i cry hard, let it fall and i won’t stop until my tears are all shed.
Nina Stiller Photography for snug clothing
I love this song, and I really love tears soothe my face, tears of sadness or even tears of happiness. Don’t hide your feelings. Laugh it out, scream it out, weep it out…or by a new shirt which could do this for you ;)
this year 2009 is almost over… looking back is one thing we all do most in this time…remembering good moments, happy moments but also bad moments and sad moments…
Listening to music that we heard while we experienced all that in the passed year…feelings return and makes us re-live all this moments for a second time…
i´m happy- it feels good to know that everything that happens has got its special reason…the last days of december I want to get totally into this feeling, I´m on a journey with myself and the things I love…this is why I won´t name anything here..no label, no place, etc..Let it be.
Some weeks ago my boyfriend and me made this photos for the german online store a-better-tomorrow. Graphic artists and designer are invited to send their works to the contest of the ABT site.
I’m wearing some of the results on this pictures. I love graphic tees! Shirts for boys are available as well!
